QUONY CUP 2010

We did not know what to expect with the first Quony Cup in 2010.  It had only been months since we had lost Chris.   We were so grateful when Chris’ pals said they wanted to continue the tournament in Chris’ honor, at the same time we could not help but feel so sad.

David attended the fundraiser, and not surprisingly, in true CC tradition, he said it was a great day, the result of tremendous collaboration among several students and members of both the LAX and Soccer teams.  Before the day of the tournament, there was a dedication of Chris’ tree at CC- overlooking the soccer and lacrosse fields with the mountains in the background. We are so thankful to CC’s Debby Fowler and Toby Cohen and the class of 2010 who helped make that happen

David was so impressed with how organized the Quony Cup was, the great turnout, how much fun everyone had, and how willing all the students were to help prepare and clean up after the long day of festivities. To top it off, over $3,000 was donated to the American Cancer Society from the event.    We know Chris was there in spirit and so proud of his pals!  What an honor and how grateful we are to have so many students carry on Chris’ legacy.
